Khanacross events are held on mostly unsealed surfaces and consist of a series of timed driving tests. While speeds are slightly higher than Motorkhanas, Khanacross is not a speed event — the focus remains on car control, precision, and driver skill.

Courses are larger and often include more obstacles, with layouts marked using arrows and direction markers. Each test is driven one car at a time, and no straight section exceeds 100 metres without a turn of at least 90°.

Khanacross tests a driver’s acceleration, braking, manoeuvrability, judgment, and vehicle control in a safe and structured environment.

Juniors can compete from 14 years of age, once they have demonstrated adequate car control through Motorkhana participation.

Currently the Mini Car Club of NSW does not hold these events, so members will need to compete with another club if they would like to complete a Khanacross.
