Saturday 23rd April

Hosted by the Sprite Car Club of Australia.

Please note, this is not a State Supersprint and MCC members won’t have to compete amongst people vying for a State Championship, the Combined Sports Car Association are the traditional marques that Mini Car Club of NSW used to compete amongst, I believe the Mini Car Club was a member of the CSCA at some point in the past.

The South Circuit is short and twisty, which should suit a Mini, but members are free to run any vehicle of their choice; it doesn’t have to be a Mini.

Below are the supplementary regulations and other documents for the Sprite SMSP Supersprint on Saturday, 23 April.
Entries are now open for CSCA Round 2 hosted by SCCA on Saturday 23rd April. Please find the invitation letter attached.

Entry is via the MA Event Entry system and is now operational.
Please note the following:
Minimum License Requirements, remain as L2S. I noticed that when I did a dummy entry, the MA Event Entry System says that a Non Speed license is ok, this is incorrect. Apparently these licenses have been discontinued by MA – they are investigating the glitch in the system.
Self Statement of Vehicle compliance.  Please complete and send to the Event Secretary at time of entry by email tocaptain@spriteclub.com

Rosehill Bowling Club
7pm, 10th September 2022
In 1962 some enthusiastic Mini drivers in NSW formalised a tradition which is still very strong today: talking about their Minis. We are happy and proud to continue that tradition: at every opportunity groups of Mini and MINI drivers can be seen or heard sharing new and well-worn stories and information. The MCCNSW today boasts 700+ members and is one of the biggest car clubs in Australia
At Minis DownUnder 2021, held in 2022, a celebratory dinner proved to be a popular opportunity for Mini enthusiasts to share their stories and memories, so for the Mini Car Club 60th anniversary we’re doing it again!
Yes, we’re holding a birthday celebration for the Car Club and invite you all!
For $45.00 pp there will be good food, speakers (not too many!), a quiz and fun. Of course the bar will also be offering beverages of your choice.
All MCCNSW members past and present are invited.
Come along for dinner on Saturday night then stay locally to check out our Mini display at the All British Day, Kings School, Parramatta on Sunday 11th.

Sunday 13th November – CANCELLED

We tried every possible scenario to keep the classic vehicle display but unfortunately due to the construction delays at the airport along with all the wet weather we’ve been having; all of the possible options to place the classic vehicles is just not feasible as they are all dirt so with even just a small bit of rain which is entirely possible based on the forecast those areas could very likely become mud, which is not ideal for any vehicle let alone classic vehicles.
Therefore, we’ve had to make the sad decision to cancel the classic car exhibit for this year as there is no alternative spots except for muddy ones. Although the classic vehicle display has been cancelled, we will still honour your classic vehicle ticket for entry so feel free to come along and enjoy the weekend.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. Thanks for understanding.
Many thanks,

Celebrate at this Special Luncheon at Wenty Leagues

Hello to all our CMC Club Members.

We’re inviting all Clubs to gather some of their Members to celebrate with us the 60th Anniversary of the CMC.  We’ve chosen the centrally-located Wentworthville Leagues where they have the fabulous Blaxland Room waiting for us to get together and enjoy a 3-course meal.  Our long-term friend David Marshall-Martin has been good enough to join us as Master of Ceremonies.

As well, we’ll have a line-up of Guest Speakers who will be most informative and probably revive some memories of the past – 60 years is a long time so there’ll be lots of stories to tell.

The CMC is subsidising the cost and at only $40.00 per head it’s a real bargain, with some surprises thrown in.  There’s no excuse so don’t delay – even make up a table of 10 from your Club (or more if you have the need).

Our hard-working CMC Secretary, Karen, is waiting to hear from you – she’ll give you bank details for EFT payments.

Visit to the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society at Albion Park.

The HARS Aviation Museum is unlike many others.  Admission includes a guided tour through the premises, which owing to the hangers being “working” hangars, requires an escort.  The advantage of this approach is that you will not be hampered by barriers, and you will be able to experience the aircraft and other displays in a way that is just not possible elsewhere.

The tour takes at least 90 min and the museum entry fee is Adult $25, Concession $20.

Entry will include a guided tour through all displays and hangars, with limited access to the Boeing 747-438.

Bring your cameras as a photo opportunity for our Minis to park under the wings of the 747 will hopefully be arranged.

On arrival we will enjoy morning tea in Café Connie $7:50 per person and then commence a tour of the facilities and aircraft with an opportunity to park our Minis under the wings of the 747.

Lunch will be provided in Café Connie at $13:50 per person.

So for entry, morning tea and lunch the max total cost is $46, concession $41, but the meal costs are optional.

Further info is available on their website: https://hars.org.au/tours-pricing/

Travel to Albion Park Airport on Sunday morning, meeting at McDonalds Heathcote, corner of Heathcote Rd and Princes Highway at 8:30am to depart at 9:00am.

We will travel to Waterfall then just past the town veer to the right and take the old highway to Sublime Point where we will merge back onto the main highway to travel down Mt Ousley and continue along the motorway to Albion Park to arrive at 10am.

All the documentation including Entry Forms

for the 2023 Australian Hay Mini Nationals Motorsport events!

ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN!!!!

https://www.miniclubsa.asn.au/documentation

Updated news!!
Following the release of information regarding our dual permit system we have been contacted by Motorsport Australia (MA) and very graciously offered the exclusive use of a MA Single event licence ($35) for the Australian Hay Mini Nationals.
This means that we can run completely within the auspices of MA and cater to the large number of our people that only compete in one event per year.
The MA Single event (SE) licence had previously been removed from sale due to a range of reasons including occasional abuse, (from both competitors and organisers around the country) and increased paperwork.
The Australian Hay Mini Nationals would like this re-introduction to continue and so will be running the scheme with great diligence and attention to detail.
Competitors will be welcome to use;
An existing MA speed licence or higher
Purchase an MA speed licence or higher prior to the event via the MA website
Or purchase an MA single event speed licence for $35 at the event. (We will have hard copies available)
If purchasing an MA speed licence or higher, we strongly urge you to complete this via the Motorsport Australia website prior to the event!

Are you a member of the Mini Car Club of NSW and making the trip to Hay for the Australian Hay Mini Nationals in June?

Then, we would like to invite our members to the official ‘Welcome to Hay BBQ/get together’. on Friday, 9th June 2023.

At the rear of Cobb Inlander Motel – 83 Lachlan St Hay NSW.

Kicks off at 5.30pm for a 6pm dinner.

The event consists of a welcome party on the Friday night, a parade down the main street on Saturday morning followed by one of the most spectacular Show and Shines in the country.

Then on the Saturday night the action really starts with adrenaline charged side by side Hay Heros under stadium lights. Sunday morning, the main event kicks off with the Hay Mini Nationals Motorkhana. At one end of the field, some of the finest drivers in the country will be vying for hundreths of seconds, and at the other end, juniors as young as 12 will competing for their own bragging rights in Australia’s biggest and most competitive Motorkhana.

This is all capped off with a massive fancy dress presentation party held at the hay memorial hall on the Sunday evening. Each club attends in their own fancy dress theme with a DJ keeping the crowd

This year NSW members theme is “Book week” dress as a character from a book, bring book if it is not obvious.

Awards are presented for the winners of all the weekend’s events, and then the party moves into full swing with some of the die hards kicking on till well into the next day. Hay is an event that must be attended at least once in a mini enthusiasts lifetime!
