Pointscore award structure

To all competitors,

The Mini Car Club Committee, at its meeting on 8 October, 2019 approved the following changes to the Club Championship and Awards Structure, effective from 1 July 2019. This was done following consideration of the impact of the loss of the Riverstone ground on the number of competition events available in a competition year.

Driver’s Championships

Drop worst 5 scores

From 1 July 2019

5 events or less – all count
6 events – drop worst score
7 events – drop worst score
8 events – drop 2 worst scores
9 events – drop 2 worst scores
10 events – drop worst 3 scores
11 events – drop worst 3 scores
12 events – drop worst 4 scores
13 events – drop worst 4 scores
14 events – drop worst 4 scores
15 events – drop worst 5 scores
15+ events – drop worst 5 scores

Additionally, in order to qualify for the “Driver’s Championship”, drivers must compete in events from a minimum of two of the competition disciplines of Motorkhana, Khanacross, Speed or Rally.

Peter Drew and Peter French Trophies

The Peter Drew Trophy is awarded for the most points scored in a “non-Mini” and the Peter French Trophy is for most points scored in a Mini. By way of clarification, all competition events count towards these two trophies. No events are dropped.
